When students enter kindergarten with the self-regulation and a social-emotional foundation they are ready to learn. The Social Skills Club will be facilitated with evidence-based Second Step Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) so that children are set up for success.

The program promotes success in the early learning setting, school readiness, and social and life success by directly teaching children the skills that strengthen their ability to learn, have empathy, manage emotions, make friends and solve problems.  The program helps to prevent problem behaviors, peer rejection, impulsivity, anxiety, antisocial behavior and aggression by developing children’s self-regulation skills and social-emotional competencies.

Children will eat lunch and will play on the playground in addition to the scheduled activities.
