A Letter from Assistant Director of Admissions, Kathy Schoen
Dear Prospective Parents,
Early childhood is a time for exploration, experimentation, growth, and play. For more than six decades, The Preschool has provided a loving environment that nurtures children, supports families, and prepares students for kindergarten.
Curriculum at The Preschool emphasizes learning through play and involves hands-on activities that reflect the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS). These standards for early childhood education address key growth areas such as Motor Skills; Social and Emotional Development; Approaches to Play and Learning; Communication, Language and Literacy; and Cognitive Development and Thinking Skills. With the GELDS as a guide, our talented teachers offer creative learning opportunities that allow students to develop important skills and even more crucially, to enjoy learning.
We would love the opportunity to introduce you further to the culture and experience of The Preschool. Due to COVID-19, campus tours are unfortunately not available at this time. However, we encourage you to watch the video below to learn more about The Preschool’s curriculum, community, and environments. Please feel free to contact me directly if I can provide any additional information.
We look forward to partnering with you and to providing a warm and welcoming environment where your child can learn and grow. I hope to meet you in the coming months.
Sincerely,
Kathy Schoen
