Art Adventure Club is an after-school program designed for all children in our Twos through Five-Six programs. Classes are divided by age; Twos and Threes students learn together, while PreK and Five-Six students form another group to account for more advanced ability. Creative adventures expose children to a wide variety of mediums and materials that encourage freedom and creativity. Students experience the joy and pride of artistic creation while also engaging in a playful and powerful form of self-expression.
Mondays and/or Wednesdays until 2:15
Children will eat lunch and will play on the playground in addition to the scheduled activities.
The Social Skills Club is an after-school program designed for all learners to harness their energy and potential by teaching them to listen, pay attention, manage behavior and get along with others in a group setting. When students enter kindergarten with self-regulation and a social-emotional foundation they are ready to learn. The Social Skills Club will be facilitated with evidence-based Second Step Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) so that children are set up for success.
The program promotes success in the early learning setting, school readiness, and social and life success by directly teaching children the skills that strengthen their ability to learn, have empathy, manage emotions, make friends and solve problems. The program helps to prevent problem behaviors, peer rejection, impulsivity, anxiety, antisocial behavior, and aggression by developing children’s self-regulation skills and social-emotional competencies.
